The villagers of Chipping Cleghorn are agog with interest once the Gazette promotes “A murder is announced and will require put on Friday, October 29th, at Little Paddocks at 6.30 p.m.” An idiotic practical joke? Or perhaps a spiteful scam? Not able to resist the invitation, the residents appear at Little Paddocks at the designated moment when, without warning, the lights venture out and a weapon is shot. A nasty picture is unveiled, once they return on.
