Description

Baghdad 1917. Chief Jim Stringer, invalided in the Western Front, hasbeen sent to research what appears like an awful case of treason. He comes to locate a town to the point-of insurrection, his address evidently taken - and his only contact laying lifeless with jigs in his eyes. As Baghdad swelters in an especially torrid summer, heat alone threatens the lives of the British troops who inhabit the town.
