To celebrate Peter's birthday, Frederick Warne is publishing new editions of 23 of Potter's original tales, which take the initial printings of Potter's works as their guide. The purpose of these editions will be as near as you are able to to Beatrix Potter's intentions while taking advantage of modern printing and design techniques. The colors and information on the watercolors in the volumes are reproduced more accurately than previously, and it's now been possible to disguise damage that's affected the artwork through the years. Especially, The Tale of Peter Rabbit restores six of Potter's original illustrations.
