Description

It's summer time of 1812 and Richard Sharpe, newly recovered from the injury he received in the fighting at Salamanca, is provided a simple responsibility; to protect a Commissary Official published to an unknown Spanish fort where there are several taken German muskets to correct. But unknown to the British, the French are organizing a lightning raid across the River Tormes, and they think the hidden Spanish ft, which protects an old bridge across the river, is likely to be carefully protected. Sharpe is set for a battle.
