Audrey Whitticomb has nothing to worry. Her mom may be the superhero Morning Star, the absolute most life-threatening crime-fighter in the Twin Cities, therefore it’s hard for Audrey to not feel secure. That's, till she’s attracted in to the special evening air by anything individual and not human—something with teeth and talons, and a broad, scarlet grin. Audrey understands the reality today: her mother doesn’t combat crime during the night.
