Fernando Pessoa was several authors in one single. The Colonial writer traced his function to fictional alter-egos he named "heteronyms," all of which had a fully-developed identification. He left out a shoe full of cluttered leftovers of incomplete works and unpublished songs, among that was The Book of Discomfort, when Pessoa died. Printed for the very first time some fifty years after his death, this excellent assortment of short, aphoristic sentences includes the "autobiography" of Bernardo Soares, among Pessoa's alternative faces.
