Bret Ellis, the narrator of Lunar Park, is just a writer whose first novel Significantly Less Than Zero catapulted him to worldwide fame while he was still in university. In the decades that followed he found himself adrift in an environment of medicines, prosperity, and popularity, in addition to coping with the sudden death of his abusive dad. Following a decade of decadence a chance for salvation comes; the chance to reunite with an actor he was once engaged with, and their boy. But almost instantly his new existence is endangered with a series of killings and a freak collection of activities that appear to connect with Ellis’s past.
