Description

The wealthy beach resort of Smalting is unaccustomed to offense. Then when human remains are observed underneath the floorboards of 1 of its beach huts, the city is awash with concern and mistrust. Amateur sleuths Carole Seddon and closest friend Jude are driven in to the secret, and their feeling quickly falls on appealing Philly Flower, a Londoner freshly found its way to the region, whose partner has disappeared in mysterious circumstances. Meanwhile, Kelvin South-West, self-employed 'girls' guy' and caretaker of Smalting's beach huts, appears to be hiding a dark secret beneath his sleek exterior, while Reginald Bouquets, pompous President of the Smalting Beach Hut Affiliation, becomes increasingly defensive about his own history.
