Description

Through the eyes of the clearly non-running protagonist—a fat high school correspondent named Mitch—veteran activities author Deuker reveals the astonishing truth behind a strange soccer player named Angel.  When Angel turns up Lincoln High, he seemingly have no past—or at-least not merely one he's prepared to discuss.  Although Mitch gets a view of Angel's amazing skill off the area, Angel seldom permits herself to glow around the field.  Is he an undercover policeman, miracles Mitch?  Or an ineligible player?  In search of a monster tale, Mitch decides to discover just who this player is and what he's done.  Ultimately, everyone is surprised by the truth.
