Everybody--including mystery bookstore owner Annie Laurance--enjoys Arsenic and Old Lace.  But anything evil is poisoned an area summer stock production as cast people stab one another in the rear and props are sabotaged.  Worst of, the celebrity, aging Hollywood beach-umbrella piece Shane Petree, butchers his collections--while receiving top billing during sex with spouses and teen-age kids around town.  No question someone really wants to attract his ultimate curtain.  With only a little help from Miss Marple, Poirot, and Agatha the Bookstore Kitten, a pompous da attempts to pin a murder on Max, Annie's own major man.  Unless Annie may show her favorite's purity, their date for the wedding's   Invoking the tried-and-true ways of her beloved fictional sleuths, Annie snoops round the sparkle and greasepaint of the show-stopper picture if she does not since theatrical murderers never play good, view it! down.
