Teen-Agers are now being slaughtered from the Howler, a serial-killer who ceases in little villages just long enough to destroy, just long enough to rip apart a residential area and a household. When he hits in Ashford, the city responds-placing limitations on teenagers' actions, checking who moves wherever-and parents become paranoid.Seventeen-yr-old Don Boyd does not require the suffering. He's currently under stress-he's got woman trouble, family trouble, trouble with his high school courses and trouble with the jocks who rule the school.
