Description

The idol of Christine Drops, Quirke, is just a surly pathologist residing in 1950s Dublin. One-Night, after having several drinks at an event, he returns to the morgue to locate his brother-in-law tampering with the documents on the youthful woman’s corpse. The following day, when his hangover has worn down, Quirke hesitantly starts considering the woman’s background. He finds a story that spans two continents, implicates the Catholic Chapel, and might just include people of their own household.
