Description

The narrator of The Zahir is just a bestselling novelist who lives in Paris and enjoys all of the rights money and celebrity bring. His wife of 10 years, Esther, is just a war correspondent who has vanished plus a friend, Mikhail, who may or may not be her fan. Was Esther kidnapped, killed, or did she merely avoid a married relationship that left her unfulfilled? The narrator does not have any solutions, but he's lots of questions of their own.
