It's 1509 and, for the folks of the Burren in western Ireland, the Michaelmas Fair is just a wondrous moment for party and industry, signaling the beginning of fall. It’s an opportunity to purchase, collect and sell their items, and pay homage to god the father of the clans. But this season is significantly diffent. The steward of the MacNamara family has chose to enhance the quantity required because of its homage, and it’s shortly before emotions are operating high.When the steward’s body can be found in the neighborhood churchyard, it drops upon Mara, the Burren’s Brehon Decide, to piece the puzzle together.
