Description

Drewis a little of a loner. She's a pet rat, her deceased father's Book of Lists, an encyclopedic understanding of cheese from operating at her mother's cheese store, and a break on Nick, the search butt who works behind the table. It's the summertime before eighth-grade when she meets a strange boy in the street called Emmett Crane, and Drew's times appear to be business-as usual, till one-night after closing time. Who he's, why heis there, where in actuality the cut on his cheek originated from, and his endless understanding of rodents are all secrets Drew may untangle because they are pulled closer together, and Drew enters in to the first genuine friendship, and experience, of her existence.
