Description

Kate Shugak, a personal detective, hasbeen focusing on an incident for the Anchorage District Attorney relating to the killing of a lady by her partner, a guy called Louis Consider. Consider has been the topic of inspections before, and he’s never been convicted of the crime. But Kate and her on-again, off-again partner, state trooper Jim Chopin, who caught Consider, think that this time around it’s different—and he’ll lastly be disciplined for his actions. Once the jury returns a verdict of not liable, Kate, Jim, and people of Niniltna, Alaska, think Consider has gotten away with murder.
