Description

John Abatangelo and Shel Beaudry are two 'for existence' lovers, whose adventures as the last of the independent 'gentleman' marijuana smugglers ('no violence - it's all about the money') come to an abrupt stop with their arrest in Las Vegas. John pleads guilty and gets a five-year sentence as a swap for a far more lenient phrase for Shel. Released from jail, Shel struggles to keep her life on the right track without Johnis psychological assistance. Succumbing to a weakness for 'strays' she becomes the sole care-giver of Frank Maas, a psychologically unstable and scarred loner on the fringes of a crime ring operating in the delta.
