Recently hired Detective Inspector Gemma James hasn't considered to question her friend Hazel Cavendish about her past. So it's a significant surprise when Gemma discovers that their vacation escape to some resort in the Scottish Highlands is, actually, Hazel's homecoming -- and that other visitor Brian Brodie was once Hazel's enthusiast, despite a bad, long standing feud between their competitor, good rum distilling households. And the shoots of the passionate and intense event might not have burned-out entirely -- on Brodie's portion at-least, because he's ready to ruin Brown's relationship to win-back his "Juliet." Nevertheless when a quick, ferocious homicide releases a lot of scary secrets and extended-seething hatreds, placing Hazel's existence in danger, Gemma knows she'll need support unraveling this really soft knot -- and requires the main one guy she trusts significantly more than every other, Duncan Kincaid, to become listed on her not even close to home, and in harm's way.
