Computer whiz Erin Swift is able to begin eighth-grade. The Entire Year of Embarrassing Occasions (aka seventh-grade) is behind her and she is prepared to rule the college. But eighth level includes its group of issues for Erin to understand, including her first boyfriend, her first separation, and the truth that her mother hasbeen treating her a lot more like an eight-year-old than an eighth grader. A whole lot worse, there's a brand new girl at Molly Brown Middle School who's identified to remake Erin in her bad-girl image, and former grind Mark "Adorable Child" Sacks hasbeen performing unusual lately.But as Erin's school year once against obstacles toward catastrophe, an individual tragedy forces her to understand that issues, and people, are not always as bad because they appear.
