Description
On July 26, 2003, the 50th anniversary of the Moncada Army Barracks raid that started the Cuban revolution, anything unforeseen occurs. When Fidel Pérez and his buddy inadvertently drop for their deaths from their Havana porch, the neighbors' outcry, "Fidel has dropped!" is misunderstood by people who hear it. That wishful error rapidly ripples outward about the working cries of the folks, and it gloriously reawakens a suppressed city. Their tales--so actual, upsetting and insuppressible--are beautifully braided into new wish because they meet in the frenzied group that collects in La Plaza de la Revolución.
