Dear Reader, Sometimes, if youare really lucky, you may get house again. An early on edition of the book was titled The Diamond Tiger and arrived on the scene in 1993 underneath the name Ann Maxwell. When my present publisher offered me the chance of returning to the novel underneath the name Elizabeth Lowell, I admit that I hesitated. In the years since first publication, the stone industry has improved so significantly that it'd be difficult to upgrade the reality in the book without destroying the tale that had forced me to create in the first position.
