Is destiny taking them aside? Toklo, Kallik, Lusa, and Yakone trek onward toward the Reduction Ocean, fighting to maneuver rapidly and fighting the weather whilst the snow starts to thaw. Kallik is anxious to return with her sibling, Taqqiq, and the remainder of the bears at her aged home—but Lusa can not and Toklo envision continuing their trip without her. Shila is encountered by the foursome, an injured white bear who informs them that the bad bunch of bears is terrorizing others for property and food, because the Melting Sea is crossed by them.
