Nevertheless, it appears it's not too simple for an ex-Fist of the Malazan Empire to vanish, particularly one under sentence of death from that same Empire.  For there's a brand new Emperor on the throne of Malaz, and he's home on the ignominy that's the Empire’s failed intrusion of the Korel subcontinent.
