At eighty five, Teo is able to retire in the bombast and love of existence as you of the world’s many important choreographers. Nevertheless when he meets Vivi, a waitress at a Tel-Aviv restaurant, the shoots of his childhood sparkle back once again to life—his enthusiasm for a touch, his long-buried suffering at his wartime activities, and his complicated wedding with party. Vivi’s existence may change, too, whilst her harrowing time is counterbalanced by the warmth of Teo’s affection being an Israeli soldier within an unlawful connection. For both, their expenditure in existence itself, and certainly in artwork, may rekindle whilst the spirits of the suppressed pasts—from Warsaw to Copenhagen, Berlin to Tel Aviv—cry out for healing and forgiveness.
