Detective Constable Evan Evans and his new woman, Bronwen, are settling into wedded life within their small pad above the village of Llanfair once they meet up with the child of 1 of the village's latest households, a sixteen-year-old Pakistani woman called Jamila. Bronwen and Jamila are getting to be friends when Jamila discovers from her parents they have arranged a married relationship for her in Pakistan. Evans attempts to persuade her family to not impose the custom, fighting that Jamila is really a regular Welsh teen, but the lady abruptly disappears, just like the concerns raise.
