Description

It begins simply enough. Jack is employed by Christy Pickering, whose 18-year-old child is dating menacing and questionable Jerry Bethlehem, a guy twice her age.  Christy neither likes nor trusts Bethlehem and employs Jack to discover if her instincts are correct.  As Jack goes into the man’s past, he sees contacts between Bethlehem and the Creighton Company, a government-funded service studying a recently found and scary variance on individual DNA.  Bethlehem isn't who he pretends to be.As the bodies stack up, Jack detects another terrible bit of the problem of their own personality, and why he’s been picked into a cosmic darkness war.
