Simon p Montfort’s hold-over King Henry III of England in the middle 13th-century was short lived. Following the Battle of Lewes in 1264 de Montfort believed his energy might last forever, but only over annually later, in July 1265, he was useless, beaten in the Battle of Evesham and slain with a lot of his fans, including two of his kids. His enduring fans spread throughout England and over the Channel in France. People who stayed in England possibly joined his daughter in Kenilworth Adventure and offered their allegiance to p Montfort’s leftover household, or left to truly save themselves.
