Description

In summer time of 1943, as World-War II rages on, Bill MacCarthy is haunted by the disappearance of his girlfriend, the actor Venetia Kelly. Looking for objective by gathering testimonies for the Irish Folklore Commission, he moves to a remote beach pad to account the enigmatic Miss Kate Begley, the Matchmaker of Kenmare. Bill is instantly fascinated by her, and a strong friendship is cast. Nevertheless when Charles Miller, a fine American military intelligence official, comes on the scene, Skip Begley appears to create a match for himself.
