Description

Vienna, 1903. An operatic diva, Ida Rosenkrantz, is located dead in her magnificent apartment. It seems that she's taken an overdose of morphine, but a busted rib, found during autopsy, indicates more menacing options and additional. Detective Inspector Oskar Rheinhardt seeks the help of his youthful friend, the psychoanalyst Dr Max Liebermann, and they start their queries at Vienna's stunning opera house, where its representative, Gustav Mahler, is battling to steadfastly keep up a real creative vision while confronted on all sides by pompous bureaucrats, vainglorious performers, and a hostile media.
