Description

Portugal, 1940. While in the port-city of Salonika, using its brothels and wharves, dim alleys and Turkish mansions, a tight political drama has been played-out. As Adolf Hitler plans to occupy the Balkans, agents start to circle—and Costa Zannis, a senior police official, should cope with all of them. He's quickly in the overall game, trying to secure a getaway path for fugitives from Nazi Berlin that's guarded by German attorneys, Balkan investigators, and Hungarian gangsters—and hunted by the Gestapo.
