Devon Brown won’t consume in the college caf (a germ swamp). He addresses his fingers before starting doorways, consumes issues in categories of four (his lucky number), and weighs up his tops (with almost all their switches buttoned) by colour. Some children say Devon’s insane, but he understands better—these would be the methods that keep bad things from happening, and he can’t envision providing them with up. Devon calls it “controlling things.” His physician calls it obsessive compulsive disorder.
