In a crumbling house building in post-Soviet Russia, there’s a cat who won’t maintain quiet.Mircha dropped from the top and was never effectively hidden, thus he stays around to heckle the living: his spouse, Azade; Olga, a frustrated translator/censor for a military paper; Yuri, an army veteran who usually wears an aviator’s helmet; and Tanya, students of desire, phrases, and color.Tanya posesses laptop wherever she goes, documenting her dreams of finding love and avoiding her work at the All-Russia All-Cosmopolitan Memorial, a location that retains an incredible and horrible assortment of artwork imitations made up of the materials at hand, from foam to gum, Popsicle sticks to tomato liquid. Once the museum’s overseer learns of a National team trying to account artwork in Spain, it appears as if Tanya could easily get her chance at a much better life, if she can just only persuade them of the collection’s value. Using the aid of her neighbors, Tanya scrambles to truly save her desires, and along the way in which finds that love might have been ready in her personal courtyard all along.
