Description

In 1911 two wealthy British heiresses, Claire and Dora Williamson, found a sanitorium in the forests of the Pacific Northwest to endure the revolutionary “fasting treatment” of Dr. Linda Burfield Hazzard. It had been said to be a vacation for both sisters. But inside a month of coming to what the locals called Starvation Heights, the ladies were emaciated shadows of the former selves, awaiting death.
