Description

In the tradition of To Kill a Mockingbird and The Cape Ann, a humorous, sad, smart, and redeeming first book in regards to a young woman's struggle with an unpleasant condition. Rural Kentucky in the 1950s isn't a simple spot to develop in, and it is particularly difficult for 10-yr-old Icy Sparks, an orphan who lives with her grandparents.
