Description

It’s a blistering summer in Sweden and Key Inspector Van Veeteren is long-overdue for a vacation whenever a questionable and deceptive spiritual sect comes under analysis. Among its people, a woman on the edge of adolescence, is located dead in the forest near their vacation camping, savagely raped and strangled; the finding of her body hasbeen called in by an unknown owner.  The people of the sect, the Real Existence, are brought by Oscar Yellinek, a charming but unnervingly protected messiah number. Within an act that mystifies and infuriates Van Veeteren and his affiliates, the people of the Real Existence decide to stay quiet concerning the event in the place of protect themselves.
