Between your Blossoms is Harriette Simpson Arnow's second book. Created in the late 1930s, but unpublished until 1997, this early work reveals the improvement of social and cultural styles that will proceed in Arnow's later work: the benefit of roaming and of contemporary existence, the countervailing need to remain inside a standard community, and the down sides of interaction between men and ladies in such a community.     Between your Bouquets moves significantly beyond types of "local colour," fictional regionalism, or the novel, towards the center of human interactions in a modernized world. Arnow, who continued to create Hunter's Horn (1949) and The Dollmaker (1952)—her two most well-known works—has constantly been ignored by experts as a local author.
