Description

On the sweltering September evening, six-year-old Clare Fraser and seven-year-old Rudy Vantwest create eye-contact from other edges of the road. For an immediate they're linked, then each becomes absent — Clare towards the protection of the backyard sprinkler, Rudy to the exhilaration of his brotherís approaching delivery. Twenty five years later, Clare and Rudy, visitors residing locations aside, fittings of every otherís thoughts and imaginations, are linked again. Overturning the protected, insular lives they both direct, two occasions — one-an incident, another an act of horror — change them both and join the Vantwest and Fraser households irrevocably.
