Description

Following a classmate commits suicide, Kana Goldberg—a half-Japanese, half-Jewish American—wonders who's accountable. Her cliquey buddies and she stated some thoughtless items to the lady. Wishing that Kana may think about her conduct, her parents pack her off to her mother's ancestral house in Japan for summer time. There Kana stays hours under the hot sun maintaining her family's mikan lemon groves.Kana's combined history causes it to be difficult to easily fit in in the beginning, particularly under the critical eye of her conventional grandma, who hasn't approved Kana's dad.
