Youthful Marianne is among the fortunate people. She's fled on a single of the first kindertransporte arranged to consider Jewish kids out-of Germany to security in Britain.At first Marianne is eager. She doesn't speak English, she's not welcome in her sponsors’ house, and, primarily, she misses her mother terribly. She understands that she can't handle the conditions around her, whilst the weeks go.
