While her mom regards the Locarno Dancehall like a den of iniquity, for seventeen-year-old, store-woman, Nell McClusky, it is the center of the world. Where else is she likely to meet up with the guy of her dreams who'll get her from the hum drum facts of living on a council house in 1950s Glasgow?
