The old rule of “What you see is what you get” can't be believed to affect Olivia Winters, the apparently lively and thoughtful day tv sponsor whom Chris Brandon is commissioned to paint after he and his companion, Jeff Stevens, seem on her behalf popular show. Chris rapidly finds that beneath the veneer of elegance and friendliness, is just a vindictive and nasty woman—with an ego larger than the luxurious Beverly Hills penthouse she possesses. Her ideal world, nevertheless, begins to unravel when she receives threatening letters from the religious nut, and when her blackmailing ex boyfriend efforts to re-enter her life.
