Description
The tales of The Silmarillion were the fundamental motivation and supply of J.R.R. Tolkien's creative writing; he done the guide throughout his life-but never delivered it into a final sort. Long previous in its roots The Lord of the Rings, it's the tale of the Very First Age of Tolkien's world, the ancient drama to which heroes in The Lord of the RIngs look-back and in which a number of them, such as for instance Elrond and Galadriel, took part. The name Silmarillion is reduced from Quenta Silmarillion, "The Real History of the Silmarils," the three great jewels developed by Feanor, most gifted of the Elves, in which he caught the light of both Trees that illumined Valinor, the land of the gods. When Morgoth, the very first Dark Lord, destroyed the Bushes, that lighting existed on only in the Silmarils; Morgoth grabbed them and set them in his overhead, guarded in the impenetrable fortress of Angband in the north of Middle-earth.
