Description

On the stormy evening in Amsterdam, bank Martin Ijsbreker is murdered by a sniper as he rests by an open window at his house across the Binnenkant Channel. Three lovers subsequently enter Ijsbrekeris home, organize his demise to appear like destruction and grab belongings that they'll be compensated in heroin. 24 hours later the lovers are observed dead of overdoses in a houseboat on the Binnenkant, and Chief Inspector Halba, in control of the Homicide Brigade while his outstanding, the commissaris, is on vacation, dismisses their deaths as random. The commissaris and his trusted subordinates, Adjutant Grijpstra and Sergeant de Gier, characters of van de Weteringis outstanding Dutch offense sequence (Outsider in Amsterdam, The Rattle-Rat, etc.), believe the four fatalities around the channel are associated, particularly because Ijsbreker have been an official in the Banque du Credit and attached to its nefarious internet, the Culture for Aid Abroad, both run by bad Willem Fernandus.
