Katherine of Valois was created a princess, the daughter of King Charles VI of France. But from the time Katherine was old enough to understand him, her dad had become named “Charles the Angry,” directed at unknown fits of madness. The small queen lived a private life, expecting her father’s rational occasions and suffering through the angry people, as her mother used with her dad and their commodities turned more and more uncertain.
