For 'Downton Abbey' fans! Scandal, love and interest in a great old English country-house: Swallowcliffe Hall, home to the aristocratic Vye household and the team who take care of them. When Polly Perkins begins work on the Corridor, she finds it difficult to understand the etiquette and ways expected of her. Existence at Swallowcliffe is just a whirl of firing events, picnics and balls, and an army of servants is needed to take care of the guests. Housemaids are meant to be viewed and not heard, and nobody takes much notice of the peaceful small woman who lights their shoots and empties their slops.
