"One of the most powerful and brave protagonists at the office in imaginary recognition." —Richmond Occasions-Dispatch  Crispin Guest, returning home following a night time, recognizes a body sailing in the uppermost reaches of the London Bridge.  Guestis attempted recovery fails, however, and the man—an armourer having a store around the bridge—is dead.  While whispers in the road declare that it had been a suicide, Guest—known in a few London groups whilst The System for his ability in fixing puzzles—is unconvinced.  What Guest reveals is that the armourer had guaranteed Sir Thomas Saunfayl, a buddy from Guest's former existence, that he'd supply him anything that would make him irresistible in combat, something for which he'd paid a little fortune. Sir Thomas thinks that them was actually the Spear of Longinus - the spear that pierced the medial side of Christ to the cross—which is thought to create those who get it invincible.   Complicating issues is another aged buddy, Geoffrey Chaucer, who abruptly involves London and is anxious to simply help Guest find the absent spear, about which he appears to understand too much.  With numerous causes anxious to find the spear, the life span of Sir Thomas in danger and probably the very security of Britain hangs in the total amount, Guest and his beginner Port Tucker must understand some very risky seas If they're to survive.
