Not only does Jonathan have a rare illness that may keep him blind, his dad, Detective Superintendent Jack Deacon, is certainly going following the nastiest criminal around, Joe Loomis, who easily retaliates by terrifying Brodie and small Jonathan. When Loomis bleeds to death while attempting to complete a title that starts with the letter “D,” Brodie isn’t very certain it's merely a chance and concerns Deacon may have become entangled in still another crime. But Loomis had lots of opponents and Deacon is not the only one who'd cause to complete him damage. While Dev Stretton, another suspect, works out to be associated with Brodie’s closest friend, Daniel Hood, she's no option but to occupy the look for the monster.
