John Sladek published a few of the greatest science-fiction stories of the 20th-century and his parodies of well-known s/y writers are uproariously "right-on". His expertise went under appreciated except by way of a few dedicated fans, despite the fact that his satirical writing was on a level with the first Kurt Vonnegut.
