Jules Verne was created in Nantes, France, in 1828. As a child he learned to go to unfamiliar sides and at 12, he attempted to stow-away on a ship bound for India. But his dad gave him a severe beating and yanked him off the vessel. Jules, however, promised to keep to visit fron subsequently on-- but just in his imagination.
