Some children are far more enthusiastic than others, once the pupils in Deja’s course and Nikki discover that their college will maintain its first-ever election for student body president. But none is really as thrilled as Deja, who figures she’s a shoo in for that third-grade nomination. Deja chooses that Nikki is likely to be her campaign manager, obviously, and sets her to work immediately. But may Deja’s inclination to run into things and boss people around alienate her closest friend when she needs her most, and ruin her likelihood of becoming leader of Carver Primary?
